As a homebound teacher, I visit incredible students who face the dual challenge of learning English while living with severe, multiple disabilities. Because of complex medical needs, their home is their classroom, but their thirst to learn and communicate is boundless. Standard tools fall short, leaving these bright learners without a reliable way to speak up. I am determined to give every single student a voice. I have seen true miracles happen when assistive technology is placed in a child's hands turning silent frustration into a breakthrough when a non-verbal student uses a screen to express a thought or ask a question for the first time. By bringing portable communication tools directly to them, we can break down physical and language barriers, foster independence, and make the next miracle happen for these extraordinary learners.
