I have some incredibly bright 9th-12th graders who have been let down at multiple turns. I've heard some say that they don't even believe in themselves. By providing them with basic needs and fostering an encouraging and welcoming room, hopefully I can start to break down their barriers and ensure them that working with me means setting the groundwork to be even more successful in the future. I want them to believe in themselves. A cold classroom doesn't convince them that I care enough to get them there.

About my class
