My students are an amazing group of 2nd–5th graders who learn in many different ways. Each student comes to our classroom with unique strengths, abilities, personalities, and needs. Some of my students are autistic, and many are working significantly below grade level, but their current academic level does not define their potential. They are curious, funny, creative, and incredibly proud when they master something that was once difficult. They thrive when learning is hands-on, interactive, and meaningful. In our classroom, we celebrate progress in all its forms. Success looks different for every student, and that is what makes our classroom special. My goal is for every child who walks through my door to feel safe, challenged, valued, included, and capable. Different minds. Different strengths. One classroom where everyone belongs.
