My name is Grace, and I am a second grade teacher. I am passionate about my students and want to create a learning environment that is conducive to their exploration and growth. My students are mostly English Language Learners, over 75% of my students receive free lunch, and they come from families that are considered low SES. My goal is to create a happy, healthy, and safe environment where each student feels celebrated for who they are. With a large population of Spanish speakers, I feel it is so important to make learning accessible to all students. I feel that developing personal connections with each child and helping them feel safe is an integral building block to their academic and social success. I want to make learning fun and motivating where students explore the value of learning. Thank you for helping me provide these incredible opportunities to my students!
