My students are a very resilient bunch. They come from a rough neighborhood that consists of families without much disposable income, so their needs are few and they appreciate the little extras we try to give them. They are an enthusiastic bunch who don't complain about what they don't have, but are thankful for what they do have. They really get satisfaction out of sharing their work and feel proud when their classmates compliment them. We have built a community of caring, nurturing, responsible individuals that I am proud to call my students.
