The primary notebooks are different than composition notebooks. The primary ones are the right journals for first grade. Students listen to a book , read aloud by the teacher, retell it, make a sequence of pictures and write about it. Also kids need to have access to headphones with microphone, to listen to a language program, books and lessons. Also they will record themselves reading and spelling.
