My students have a lot of energy. They need an opportunity to move, wiggle and release some of that energy so that they are more relaxed and focused on learning. However, during the current pandemic, my students have been limited in how to safely do that. I also have students who have anxiety issues and sitting at their desk/table all day due to social distancing gives them minimal chances to move around and work off some of their anxiety and energy. Flexible seating options will give my students the opportunity to release energy by moving and wiggling so that they can be comfortable and more settled while performing educational tasks. By donating to my project you are helping my students work through their anxiety and excess energy by providing them with flexible seating options and the opportunity to move while learning. By being able to choose their own seating option, students may feel like they have more control of their own learning at a time when it may seem like they have little or no control due to current pandemic circumstances.
