The materials I have chosen for my project include flexible seating and two sets of quality books. This is to create a flexible seating reading area, utilizing two types of seating and books from a variety of levels to accommodate my students. Students have struggled with making adequate progress in reading during the pandemic. They have had to become experts in technology to use platforms schools have chosen for their virtual or distance learning, and the use of actual printed books declined. The goal of my project is to provide a fun and interesting place for students to rediscover the love of reading.
