The dissection kits and trays that I am requesting will enable our science department to give our students hands on learning of body systems and how they work. In 6th grade, part of our curriculum includes life science. Dissecting frogs is an awesome way of making those connections with a hands on approach. I still remember when I dissected a frog in middle school, it was part of what sparked my love of science. I was sure I would grow up to be a surgeon until I realized that included blood and living people. Now I just inspire future surgeons. After being deprived of so many labs and experiments the last couple of years with the pandemic, these students need opportunities to explore science through dissecting specimens. Not only does this help solidify the science curriculum, but it also gives students the in person interaction with a lab partner. Much of our success in life depends on our ability to communicate with others. This lab is sure to have scholars talking. Thank you for your consideration of funding this opportunity for my students.
