I am a first year teacher and with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been difficult to purchase supplies for my classroom. My students are very active and I have a few students that need to be moving constantly, so the flexible seating would be very helpful for them while they are learning. I also like to print out flashcards, graphic organizers, and supplemental materials, so it would be great to have a printer in my classroom. I have also picked out STEM building toys and magna tiles because my class loves toys and manipulatives that they can build with. Since my students were virtual for almost two years because of COVID, they did not have the opportunity to play with toys like these in school, so I would love to provide that for them. I requested dry erase markers, colored pencils, and markers, because these are all materials that we use every day. My students were at home learning virtually, so many of them have missed out on opportunities that they would normally have in school, and I would love to be able to provide hands on and interactive activities for them. The games are fun for my kids to play and they are great for interaction and socialization while they are learning. My students did not have the opportunity to play games and interact with their classmates during virtual learning. I have also requested many children’s books, because my students love to read and always have their hands on a book. They would be so excited to have new books to read. All of these items would be very useful in my classroom and my students would be so excited to have new, fun, and interactive supplies to explore with.
