With the robot kits I have requested, students will be able to work in groups and build a computer with their own hands. They will also be able to program the robots, so they will have an opportunity to really see what the whole process of putting a computer together is like. Learning has shifted to be more and more computer based, especially during the pandemic, which I think is a great thing. But to have an opportunity to actually allow students to get OFF of the computer for a while, and in a computers class, would be a great change of pace for my students, and it would allow them to learn a lot about computers, and to put their hands. In addition to the robot kits, I have requested a few extra supplies that will make it easier for my students to work on their own in class, which should help them greatly, especially those who may have to be out for a while due to COVID. Anything I can give them to help them get back on track is a huge plus!
