Large learning tables will allow for more space in our classroom than individual desks. We have a wonderful school, that has been growing. The larger tables will allow for more walking room and space for our learning centers. I will be able to walk around the room easier and I can even sit at a table and help 8 kids at once. This will be more efficient than having to walk to each individual desk helping one student at a time during whole group learning. Whole group learning is essential to the Pre-K classroom. It is necessary for the students to be comfortable while learning together. This project will give the additional space to our classroom needed so we can also have room to incorporate other types of learning as well. Our Pre-K kids tend to be a little messy sometimes. We have snack time daily. They naturally leave crumbs all over the room and floor. It is tedious to clean and sweep each day around multiple desk legs. This project would help make cleaning time quicker. I could easily sweep around the large tables rather than twenty different desks.
