I took great care and consideration to make sure I could picture each of my students using these items. I considered how they get comfortable, ease of access to the materials and what each center would look like while they used them. Children are meant to explore and learn while using their hands. A benefit many students missed out on during early education due to the pandemic. These items can be used to learn through play. Cushions will be used to make sure they are comfortable while we have discussions or while they explore books. The other items are meant to educate them while they play and have fun. More than half of my class didn’t attend preschool due to Covid and still need that hands-on learning that makes them enjoy school and keeps them excited throughout their educational career. It is important as well to develop their social emotional skills due to the difficulties of schools and daycares staying open during the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting crucial early childhood development. It’s important to develop a child’s social skills and realize that play can be educational!
