Students are in need of hands-on experiences to see where math is applicable in real life. With these tools, students will be able to find out why equations and formulas work and come up with them on their own, rather than rote memorization. Experiencing math first hand and doing interesting projects will help students remember the process and be better problem solvers. Students with gaps in their learning from interruptions to their schooling the last couple of years will be able to use hands on methods to experience the math and fill the gaps.
