Teaching art through a global pandemic has been challenging. One of the ways that students can see examples of art in action is by reading and studying graphic novels. Not only can students study the different styles of art, but they can also see examples of successful artists in the real world. Studying graphic novels allows for flexibility; students can easily take the books home. Since we have so much uncertainty in our educational experience today, having access to these graphic novels would provide a simple, yet effective, way to pivot instruction. Students also benefit from having more time to read.
