All of my students have made a huge improvement from Day 1. They love to learn so I try to make learning as fun as possible. Kindergarten is the grade where most of them began their schooling. Especially during a pandemic so I believe it is crucial to make it as normal for them as possible. Rewards, such as stickers, are highly important to encourage good work ethic and good behavior. The extra sets of manipulatives would enhance their learning and allow for each child to have their own learning activity without the need of sharing. With the pandemic going on, it is highly recommended that nothing be shared, including the playgrounds. We have a piece unused parking lot space that is used as a third recess area. The children have asked for recess toys to have activities to do when it is our turn to use this space. The children use their iPads during ELA lab to get on apps (IXL, MyOn, RazKids) that help them learn to read and help them practice their math and reading skills. Headphones would allow them to focus on only their practice and block out their classmates' iPad noise.
