Our students' mental health has been declining since COVID, and this has become an issue that has spilled over into the school setting. Our students are struggling with anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, depression, and anger. I plan to utilize sand tray supplies to help my amazing students communicate their struggles in age-appropriate ways. The sensory items will help them manage their anxiety so that we can process their traumas and subsequently heal from them. With these items, I will be able to better support the kids in the therapy setting, so that they can excel in the classroom setting.

About my class
