These magazines and books will help multiple classrooms in multiple ways. At our school we are working on spending as much time digging into relevant and grade level texts. The scholastic magazines will be used as an engaging way to practice reading, fluency and comprehension. At the same time we are reading students will be learning about science concepts, as well as the world around them. The books listed are for our Social Emotional Lessons. Helping students learn about how to be emotionally intelligent can improve their lives as well as their academics. Students who can push through frustrations and manage their emotions do better in school. With the magazines and the books, we will be able to dig into rich texts and build our social emotional skills!
