These specialized magazines will help those struggling gain the confidence needed to continue to learn to read and participate in class discussions. Many of the topics are similar to those in the higher level magazines I use. Using these will provide them with the same material at a lower level giving them background and information needed when having discussions. Confidence is one of the first steps in learning to become a better reader. Those who lack this trait tend to shut down. Everyone student needs to have the resources to build a strong foundation with their educational skills.
