My second grade students have spent nearly half of their educational experience online due to COVID-19. As much as we as teachers work hard to prepare engaging online lessons they cannot replace in person learning. My students are still working to overcome the gaps they have in their education due to their time online. Strategic small group lessons allow me to help my students fill the gaps they have and to move forward. The wobble stools and easel will provide my students will additional opportunities to engage with material that will help fill those gaps during small group instruction.
