My students are visual learners. Graphic novels have significantly improved their motivation to read, and I've spent much of my own money investing in such books to help them. I've noticed an increase in comprehension, especially with my English Second Language learners when they have visuals to latch on to. My students are visual, active learners. Having the chance to choose what seat they can use - including wobble chairs - will help many of these students focus. Sitting on a hard, stable chair for 1.5 hours is difficult. I've also found myself in multiple printing emergencies - I have forgotten to print off something pertinent for the class I was teaching at that moment, or I didn't print enough, or a student needed a photocopy of a book page to annotate. A printer in my class would help me significantly.
