Not having years and years of classroom experience has left my students with a teacher that unfortunately doesn't have years and years of supplies and organization. Knowing where things are and having easy access to them helps students emotionally too! Walking into the classroom, my students crave consistency and I do my best to provide it to them. Having a designated spot for their spelling paper that they can easily access, for example, sounds simple but is huge for a young student's independence and peace of mind during these times. They also need help reaching the sink to fill up their water bottles which is highly encouraged during these Covid-19 times. A classroom library in which they can see all of our wonderful books each and everyday would help in brightening their day even just a little.
