We are at a critical junction largely due to the pandemic where more and more parents are being pushed into the workplace to ensure that they can provide physiological and safety needs for their children. Fewer parents at home means that simple conveniences like heating food and making time for breakfast is something that very few of our students can do. Very often, students come to the building with a cold meal that they quickly pulled from the refrigerator without any opportunity to heat it in a microwave until they arrive at school. For this reason, having microwaves on mobile carts is essential to be able to move our microwaves as necessary to service students' needs whether breakfast time or lunch time. Simply put, we do not have enough mobile microwave carts to address the student body that we currently have.
