We will use these books to go along with our study of Jackie Robinson and other barrier breakers. The books will help to create connections for students and build understanding of the people we are studying, as well as create a space for deep conversation. Sharing books with their peers will allow our students to see the experiences of others and connect those experiences to themselves. We believe that stories are powerful and can change the way students view the world. "The Hero Two Doors Down" is a story that will inspire our students, and we are so excited to share it with them.
