My students will use these laptops to work on writing projects and revision during class time, as well as engaging in self-paced digital lessons. Many of students within my class require modifications and accommodations due to disabilities that affect their learning. Some students have their own devices that they are able to bring to and from school, but we need a consistent number of laptops for any student use if they don't have their own device. Our goal is to become 21st century learners and that is highly dependent on technology being available to all students during class time. With these laptops, I would be able to easily provide small group instruction, impart lessons that students can navigate at their own pace, and target specific reading and writing needs in a way that incorporates technology. More than ever, my students need the opportunity to build their writing, reading comprehension and computer skills simultaneously. having these laptops would provide us with the technology access we need in order to support my students.
