Due to Covid the structure of my class had to change overnight. In a typical year my students normally get placed at a local hospital where they get hands on training and access to medical equipment and supplies. This has all changed due to the pandemic. As of today my students do not have access to placement at the hospital and we are doing all of our training at the school site. Most of my allotted funding this year has gone to ordering student books and to getting my classroom set up. This has left no budget for other supplies as the ones requested here in my Donors Choose project. With these donated isolation gowns, AED training kit, face shields, masks, blood pressure kits, gloves, and other supplies my students will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learned in my Exploring Health Careers class. There is nothing like hands on activities to get the students excited about learning and engaged in their education. Please consider donating to give my students this opportunity.
