Growing up, I hardly ever read stories about individuals going through experiences similar to my own because I didn't realize such books existed. I got lost in books filled with mythical creatures and fantasy worlds because I felt it was better than the life I was living. It wasn't until I began attending college that I truly understood the power of experiencing characters with stories similar to my own. My experiences held power, power enough that others may want to read about them. Yes, your donation will help showcase the joy of reading to my students--yet, it also does so much more. Your donation will help my students come to that same realization too. Their experiences have power and all they need is the right book!
