These books and magazines will create a literacy-rich classroom environment for my English Language Learners. Our classroom library will provide opportunities for independent reading, partner reading, and literature circles. Our English Language Learners have a thirst for learning and the high interest magazines and books I've chosen will foster their second language skills in English. Our classroom will be a safe place for my students to experience the wonderful world of reading. Learning English as a second language requires building skills related to listening, speaking, reading and writing, and what better vehicle to make this happen than with BOOKS? My wish is that my students will graduate from high school with the reading skills that will carry them through post secondary education and help them build a love for the printed word!
