Students at both of my schools have faced a long list of obstacles in relation to school closures and reopening. Students missed out on important social emotional skills and have a higher need than ever to learn coping and calming strategies. Providing a welcoming and safe space in my offices at both of my schools with a variety of mindfulness and calming techniques will allow students to become more comfortable and actively engage in practicing strategies they can then use while in the classroom and at home facing the challenges of readjusting to school demands. I've also included diversity and equity materials to ensure all students at my schools feel welcome and supported.

About my class
