The book titles and classroom carpet I have requested will create an inviting space for my students to use as a reading nook. I have already envisioned how these items will be used in our daily literacy block. The students will have an assortment of books to choose from, as they explore their reading interests and develop their love of written text. The carpet will serve as a concrete, spatial invitation that encourages all my students to grab a book, find a comfortable spot to just relax and read! Creating opportunities for my students to read independently and choose their genre preferences will help develop their individual reading skills.
