These new books would allow my students to be able to read by themselves and have access to books on grade level. They will also give the students no opportunity to grow their reading skills which are extremely low due to COVID affecting their kinder and 1st-grade years. The students need to be seeing print in ways that are not intimidating and promote a love of reading, not dread. I wish to make strong readers who are not behind and are willing to pick up a book that may be a bit of a challenge but are not discouraged by the difficulty.

About my class
