Have you wanted to improve your posture? Learn to increase your rhythm? Dancers will start each class with high intensity, whole-body warm-up to engage their minds with their bodies to prepare for stretching and dance movements. The music that will lead our warmup will be played through the speaker system I am ordering. Then after working on increasing flexibility, we will review dance basics like plies, chasses, and pirouettes (which the Wobble will help develop better positions). But everyone's favorite part of the class is the choreography and collaborating to increase individual artistry. In order to dance we need a speaker to play the music, tumbling mats to practice our stunts and tumbling safely, and sweatshirts for costumes for students to wear to perform, and balance board to practice good posture. We will learn elements of ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary, and cultural dances over the course of the year. Students learn to work in both large and small groups and begin to build their confidence with each successful performance.
