Many of the Nevada Academic Content Standards that I am teaching as a science teacher have to do with design and modeling, specifically within a group setting. Since COVID, I've seen a significant decrease in my students being comfortable with group work, and sometimes they just need to take a breather to gather their thoughts before proceeding. Some of my students work better in a space where there are fewer stimuli. This furniture will help create a calming space and flexible seating options for students who need to take that break. This will be a huge asset in helping keep my students calm, focused on their task, and ultimately working toward the Nevada Academic Content Standards in my class.
