My students will use these novel sets to address the 6th grade Nevada Academic Content Standards in literature and writing. The crates will be used to store their writing projects so they don't lose components of them as we build on the writing process. My students are excited to read together in class since during COVID distance learning they had to read independently. The rich classroom discussions we could have are now possible since we are all together. The lamp will help provide a calming reading environment in our classroom.
