Students need to share with interpersonal communication, whether written or verbal (Standard1:Interpersonal Communication: Learners interact and negotiate meaning in spoken, signed, or written conversations to share information,reactions, feelings, and opinions). Because of Covid, students were only able to communicate when technology was available. Now all students will be able to have a voice and be engaged in the learning process. Students will also be able to use the computer for independent work. Advance students can access readings from the local library. Students needed individual or a slower paced approach. Reading (Standard2:Interpretive Communication: Learnersunderstand, interpret,andanalyze what isheard,read,or viewedon avarietyof topics) is the best way to acquire a language and this computer will allow: Immersive Reader which supports all students to access and improve their literacy skills with the ability to change font size and background, break words into syllables and have the text read aloud and an Accessibilty Checker which gives prompts within Office 365 apps to make content accessible to students with vision, hearing, cognition and mobility difficulties. Students can share experiences and also creat new experiences through reading, allowing all students to grow, learn and progress.
