Cooking tools and clean up supplies will help my students learn about the varied cuisine from the Spanish speaking world. Students who can say, Pico con un cuchillo, while they pico/chop with a cuchillo/knife are using their whole body to encode vocabulary. This experience is both engaging and empowering. Students learn life skills that can be applied at home: meal prep and clean up. Classes will experience ingredients, smells, and flavors unique to the Spanish speaking world. Cooking with sufficient and proper tools will enrich and expand our learning potential.
