The last thing that my students need to worry about while they are in school is their safety, security, and basic needs being met. Yet, it is oftentimes the first thing they are worried about. Coming from lower-income households, some of my students arrive at school with no food, no mask, and no positive supports in their lives. It is my hope that this project will not only provide the essential physical materials that all of my students need to get through this year, but also a glimpse of hope that they are loved, thought of, cared for, and worth the generosity of those who give to our classroom. I know that these supplies will give to them in more ways than one, and I am so excited to see how this project impacts their lives this year.

About my class
