Since our program was established in 2018, we have not acquired any new material for young learners. As the years have passed and young learners have used the materials, the materials have become broken or missing. At this point, my students are playing with a train track without trains. They only have wooden blocks to play with; they cannot explore the different textures of the blocks. Outside time for them is limited to running around a soccer field with a ball and hula hoops; they do not have a playground to develop their gross motor skills. A portable basketball hoop would be so convenient for their development. Another area that needs help would be our quiet area. Our quiet area does not have the appropriate materials for the children to have a quiet time or calm down from a strong emotion. Since my preschoolers are very young, many have sensory needs and are developing fine motor skills, and I am not able to meet those needs right now. We want our younger students to have the best classroom experience and to develop their learning in all aspects with the appropriate materials for their age. By contributing to our project, you are giving our younger learners the opportunity to learn through play with the proper materials and let their imaginations run wild to explore all areas of development.
