This project includes items to help give students in our school a supportive space when in my room. I include several copies of various books that will help my students learn and address common topics amongst teens. In this project, I have included white noise makers as several offices are to the left and right of my room. I have had students make comments about worries that their conversations are not private and the offices next door can hear. The noise makers will be helpful to uphold confidentiality. I included stress balls as many students experience anxiety with returning back to school in person. Many students make school their safe place. With this project, I would like to provide supportive items for the students who are in need of a warm environment. Some of the items in this project are for relaxation such as the zen garden, the wax cubes, and the hourglasses. Some items like the shelf, lamp, pillows, plants, label maker and vinyl is to add touches to my room that students can enjoy on a daily basis.
