I am asking for support to create a mindfulness classroom that will help my students achieve their academic goals as well as enhance positive social and emotional development. My goal for my students is to allow them to have a classroom where they are able to calm their emotions, relax their bodies and minds and focus on the present through yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques. I hope to achieve this calm peaceful classroom with the use of singing bowls and meditational chimes and bells while also enhancing it with books and games to help with their social and emotional needs. This mindfulness classroom would be the greatest gift I could give my students.
