I am requesting resources which will help promote Nevada’s Academic Content Standards even with children with special education needs. With these supplies we will be able to implement positive social skills, self-esteem and life skills that’s needed for them to conquer everyday life. With the set back of Covid and the daily pressure put on children with special needs I strive to create a place where they feel wanted, safe and confident to grow daily. Each student faces barriers daily, not limited to learning or behavior disabilities, by creating an environment where they are excited and confident to grow and learn we can not only change their educational experience, but their lives. Within a self-contained room the grade level and academic expectations vary, but the need for TLC, Social Development and confidence is equal around the board. Help me create an environment that includes a Mindfullness mat, butterfly kit, USA map rug and cash register along with a cool colorful tent where children regardless of circumstance want to come to daily, to be one percent better every day and we create a positive outlook on life, hopeful mindsets that will grow with them, far past graduation.
