In an effort to get elementary students exposed to the game of lacrosse at a young age, the requested materials will help grow student interest in the sport. Baseball and golf units already take place; however, the requested materials will further enhance the units. Baseball, golf, and lacrosse are effective activities to enhance endurance, hand-eye coordination, and athleticism. These activities will create further engagement within physical education classes while also meeting various Nevada P.E. Content Standards, including "locomotor and non-locomotor movement" (1.2.1 and 1.5.1), which are demonstrated in each of the listed activities. The requested materials will be used in lessons differentiated among kindergarten to 5th grade. This will ensure that all students have opportunities to grow throughout the different activities and have a more meaningful elementary school physical education experience.
