Seeking a College and Career ready diploma is a goal in our Magnet Program. We want our students to recognize the weight and responsibility that comes from becoming certified tax preparers through the IRS VITA/TCE program. This program provides free tax preparation and filing at sites throughout the country, and we are the only high school in the area that works towards getting 100% of our students certified. We expect to service at least 500 clients in our classroom and this furniture will make their services a more realistic experience. Last year, we had 100% of our senior level students certify, and we expect the same results this year. This project improves speaking and listening, employability skills, and critical-thinking skills. Thank you for your support.
