Through targeted reading instruction, student conferencing, and data collection, we can help the kids rebuild their reading abilities and reading confidence, and in addition, help bolster their self-efficacy and emotional well-being. This iPad will allow students to access the informational resources they need, and to develop a multimedia response to it, incorporating writing, speaking, and curated images and video. Standards addressed: SL.4.2: Paraphrase portions of a text read aloud or information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively, and orally. W.4.9: Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research.
