In health, the standards are based on learning essential health skills like goal setting, decision making, and advocacy. A lot of the work completed is assessed in the form of projects—anti-drug PSAs, personal health projects like vision boards, etc. My classroom lacks the tools like color printing, which is often used when creating these types of projects. A paper cutter is also a useful tool that makes preparing materials for my classroom much more efficient. Some items, like the health learning materials, are useful to differentiate instruction through different units like systems of the body and nutrition. In addition to the needed tools, I also lack a laptop to present information to my students, which has forced me to borrow a slow student computer in order to help students learn. Finally, I included some health items, like period products for my female students. I have also included a tower heater since our school is an older building and often gets cold during the winter. I greatly appreciate the support to aid my classroom in being a creative and safe learning environment.
