Many of my students struggle with food insecurity on top of trying to get access to food in an overcrowded school. These snacks will allow my students to have access to the fuel they need to be well prepared for each day, ready to participate and grow as learners. They will have the energy to work harder, become active participants in critical thinking activities, and recognize their abilities to understand their growth. I want to be a part of this process in any way I can, and if food is the way to help, then sign me up! Many of my students also don’t have access to the basic necessities like pens, pencils, paper and markers to be successful students. While technology has become the driving force behind education, these tools will allow my students to analyze, critically think, and create meaningful work to show their level of excitement to the content. School can be fun and enriching and that’s what I want to provide to my kids :)
