Children learn best through engaging and hands-on activities. Many of my students come in with poor fine motor skills. These activities and materials will not only serve an academic purpose but a social/emotional and fine motor skill resource as well. This covers Nevada Academic Content Standard SL.K.1 as well as hits Physical Education Standard 1.2.3 for motor skills. The letter bots, sorting, and letter blocks will be used in centers and small group to reach a variety of learners (RF.K.3.a). The number bots, sorting, and pattern blocks will be used in centers to increase math literacy. (K.CC.A.3 and K.G.A.2).
