Students have been home learning and staring at a screen for the majority of the last two years. These materials will give a chance for students to explore health and wellness with new activities as well as working on their own strength to improve their health. Students will have nice equipment in the weight room to get them excited about working out. I hope this encourages students to come out for extracurricular activities as well. Athletics are important to schools and students and having ways to get kids active is very beneficial to the students and school as a whole. It has been hard for students to get out and be active and I hope this will excite them to want to get active. The weight plate sets, rack, and other materials will give students resources to get into working out and increasing their fitness. This will also benefit the staff as they are able to use the weight room after school and give them a place to exercise as well. Standards: Content Standard 3.0: Participate regularly in physical activity Content standard 4: achieves and maintains a health-enhancing level of fitness
