The idea for my project comes from my daughter, who always says how she feels "nice and comfy and safe" when she is snuggled up in bed reading her favorite books. This is the same feeling I would love to give my students when they are reading or being read to in my classroom. What teacher doesn't strive to make each and every one of their students comfortable and warm, welcomed and loved? Through my project, and with your generosity, I would like to have washable pillows to make reading on the floor, instead of boring desks, more comfortable. I want to implement Flashlight Friday, which is an activity where students read around the classroom with their own flashlights, in order to motivate and inspire my readers!
