Having a variety of books and organizational items in the classroom will offer my students the opportunity to grow as independent and fluent readers. I imagine my classroom library to be a place where my students can be really excited to read and enjoy reading independently as well as to each other because they will have books of their interest that they can choose from. My students are already so appreciate of the little selection of books they are currently given - I can only imagine the excitement they will feel knowing they have access to even more of a selection. With this new addition of books, my students will be able to read material that is at their level which will create an even greater love for reading. Since one of the most effective ways to become a strong reader is to be exposed to a diverse selection of books, I look forward to spending some time each day reading aloud to my students. These new books and supplies will provide me that opportunity to do that for them. I am confident that my students will appreciate these books and grow tremendously as the amazing readers they are meant to be.
